Michelangelo Suigo, Director of External Relations, Communication, and Sustainability at INWIT S.p.A, was awarded for his work on the Smart Tower “Venice” project.
The Smart Tower Venice, located at the entrance to the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, is a telecommunications building that holds, inside an innovative design, antennae for cellular connectivity, even 5 G, and, at the base, LED displays for entertainment. INWIT’s involvement at Expo Dubai 2020 is focused on innovation, sustainability, and the dissemination of digital skills for the recovery of the country and the global economy.
It is 8.5 metres tall and is made out of 8 modular triangular sections with one-metre sides. Venice Tower is built of recycled and recyclable materials. The supporting framework is comprised of steel, recycled and recyclable materials, and recyclable materials, all of which are necessary for the development of a sustainable economy, while the solar panels are made of unique eco-friendly materials. eco-friendly materials that are compatible, recyclable, and biodegradable
