SAP, a German software firm, has named a sustainability director for the Asia Pacific region.
Susanna Hasenoehrl undertakes the newly established post, with the mission of assisting clients in using SAP’s sustainability solutions to satisfy environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives and legal obligations.
Her responsibilities encompass leading SAP’s sustainability initiatives. She will also be in charge of generating sustainable outcomes across all of the company’s go-to-market initiatives.
SAP solutions for corporate sustainability performance management and reporting, carbon accounting, waste management, and responsible supply chains are all featured.
Hasenoehrl joins the firm after working as an independent consultant on sustainable business and climate change. She formerly worked as a sustainability consultant for agricultural and chemical firm Yara International and as an advisor to the executive team at Grobrix, an agritech business.
According to Paul Marriott, president of SAP Asia Pacific and Japan, the new position would assist the firm to expand its sustainability offering in the area.
“With Asia contributing to more than 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions, it’s vital that we focus on assisting customers, partners, and governments in developing urgent solutions to solve the climate problem,” he added.
