More on Henrik Andersen, CEO of Vestas, Denmark.

“Three female Vestas leaders have been ranked among the top 100 women working in wind by the world’s biggest community for people working on the financial operational side of the global wind industry which is a great contribution to Vestas ambition to become Employer of Choice in the energy industry by 2023.

Marika Frederiksson, EVP Finance, has been ranked no. 9 and highlighted as “the second most recognisable figure on the Vestas management team. She is vital in steering the turbines giant in a fast-changing market, where competition is fierce and manufacturer profit margins have been tightening”. Laura Beane, President Vestas North America is in 30th place, for entering Vestas in this role following assignments at Engie and Avangrid. Lisa Ekstrand, Senior Director & Head of Sustainability, is in 62ndplace, being recognized as leading Vestas to become carbon-neutral in operations, including the industry’s key topic of blade recycling. “A word about wind” asserts to be the world’s biggest community for people working on the financial side of the global wind industry.

Being part of this ranking is a major contribution to Vestas’ Must-Win-Battle (MWB) Talent & Leadership and the ambition of becoming Employer of Choice in the energy industry by 2023. One of the cornerstones for this is that Vestas intends to be recognised as the most inclusive, socially responsible and sustainable employer worldwide. As a first step, the focus is on gender disparities where the aim is to have 25 percent female leaders by 2025 (currently we have 19 percent).

“Given our goal of having 25 percent female leaders by 2025, This is a great achievement and also an indicator of Vestas’ attractiveness as an employer that three of our top female leaders are among the 100 most influential women globally of the industry. Let`s regard this as inspiration to strive for being represented by even more women at even higher rankings by “A word about wind” in the coming years”, Kerstin Knapp, EVP People & Culture”.

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I encounter a blog
that’s both educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you
have hit the nail on the head. The problem is an issue that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy I found this in my hunt
    for something relating to this.
